CCTV appeal after teenage boy punched on train from Cardiff

British Transport Police have released CCTV footage after a teenage boy was punched on a train from Cardiff.

The incident happened on 23rd November on the service from Cardiff to Ebbw Vale.

Before that, the victim was said to be on the train station platform in Cardiff with a friend when a man walked past and knocked a mobile phone out of the friend’s hand.

British Transport Police said the victim and friend approached the man to pay for the damaged phone while on the train and the man refused then punched the victim.

All parties were then separated by passengers and guards on the train. The victim was uninjured.

Officers investigating the attack would like to speak to the man in the image and are asking anyone who knows him to contact British Transport Police.
