Ely neighbourhood ‘devastated’ by unexplained death of 22-year-old Mark Anderson

A 22-year-old who died following an incident in the Ely area of Cardiff has been named as Mark Anderson from Caerau.

His body was found in the woodlands near Trelai Park at around 4pm on Monday, 27th May.

Mark’s parents said, “As a family we are heartbroken and now need time to come to terms with our loss.”

His family have issued the following statement:

Mark went to Glynderw High School in Ely and enjoyed his hobbies of fishing, rugby, football and motorcycling as well as playing on his Xbox.

He was very well known in the area with an amazing group of friends who are always there for each other. He was the best person you could ever meet and the neighbourhood has been devastated by his death.

Mark had a loving relationship with his family and always got on well with everyone.

South Wales Police said it is continuing to investigate the ‘unexplained’ death and is appealing to anyone with information to contact them or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
