Investigation launched after woman’s body found on New Year’s Day

A police investigation has been launched after the body of a woman was found at an address in Bala on New Year’s Day.

Police were called to a property in Llangower, Bala shortly before 5.30am on 1 January 2019. The body of a young woman was found at the address.

Neil Harrison of North Wales Police said a young man is currently helping with enquiries and the woman’s next of kin have been informed.

Our thoughts remain with the woman’s family and friends at this difficult time. A young man is currently helping us with our enquiries; however a forensic post mortem examination is scheduled to take place tomorrow to determine the precise cause of death and the Coroner has been informed

The property remains sealed off as forensic experts carry out examinations at the scene.
