A man has installed a life-size dinosaur outside his home in Cwmbran after buying it at a charity auction.
Part-time gardener, Jerry Adams, bought the 15ft tall beast – an Allosaurus – for £1,600 at an auction by the The National Showcaves Centre for Wales.
It was towed to Cwmbran on a trailer around 50 miles along the M4 from the Abercrave attraction on the outskirts of Swansea to its new home.
Since it’s arrival, people are turning up in numbers to take pictures with the dinosaur:
The money has been donated to diabetes charity Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Dan Owen, one of the managers at Dan-yr-Ogof, said they decided to auction the dinosaur on eBay to raise money for JDRF as the son and grandson of owner Ashford Price both have type 1 diabetes.
He said there was ‘a lot of interest’ in the auction.
