A motorist was “spoken to” by police after driving the wrong way through a tunnel on the A55.
North Wales Police said it received reports on Thursday afternoon of a car being driven in the wrong direction through the Pen y Clip tunnel.
Traffic Wales confirmed the Westbound carriageway had to be closed between J18 at Conwy to J16 at Penmaenmawr, causing traffic to come to a standstill.
Once the vehicle was removed, the carriageway reopened. Nobody was hurt.
A police spokesperson said: “We had a call at 3.57pm yesterday reporting a vehicle travelling the wrong way on the A55, through the Pen y Clip tunnel.
“Traffic came to a standstill for a short while and the driver was spoken to.”
