Police called to ‘incident’ at Colwyn Bay high school

Police are currently attending an ‘incident’ at a high school in Colwyn Bay.

Two pupils were said to be involved in the incident at Eirias High School which resulted in one boy being taken to hospital with injuries not deemed to be life-changing.

Officers are reassuring the public “there is no immediate danger to anyone else.”

Police were alerted at 10.16am to a report of an assault.

Chief Inspector Owain Llewellyn of North Wales police said: “There is an increased police presence at the school to provide reassurance. We cannot go into any further details at the moment. However, we would ask people not to speculate on social media.”
