Police confirm death of firefighter after boat crash in Neyland Marina

A Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service Firefighter has died after two boats crashed at a marina in Pembrokeshire.

Police have confirmed the 35-year-old man was involved in a collision between two boats in the waterway at Neyland Marina in Milford Haven at 11.30am on Tuesday.

A spokesman for Dyfed Powys Police said his family are being supported by specialist officers.

Specialist teams from both the fire and rescue service and police were on scene supporting witnesses.

We have informed the Marine Accident Investigation Board and will be working with them to establish what happened here today.

Our thoughts go out to the family of the deceased and to his colleagues at Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
