Woman, 70, line dancing her way to one million steps for diabetes
A 70-year-old woman from Senghenydd with Type 2 diabetes has been line dancing her way to one million steps to support Diabetes UK Cymru.
Lynn Matthews is taking part in the charity’s One Million Steps Challenge. People taking part in the challenge have to walk more than 10,000 steps a day in order to complete it. But an avid line dancer, Lynn decided to add a twist to the challenge.

Lynn completed her million steps on the 30th of August and she has already raised £700 for Diabetes UK Cymru. But she has decided to keep doing the steps until the group challenge officially ends at the end of September.

Katherine Hughes goes to the same line dancing class as Lynn. She has known her for 50 years, since the pair were in school together.

Lynn first discovered she had Type 2 diabetes after going to the GP for routine tests.
